Ceylon green tea is one of the types of green teas that have gained special popularity. Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon, produces Ceylon green tea, which is grown on plantations teas in high mountainous regions. Organic teas, grown naturally without pesticides, are typically preferred to other teas because of their superior taste and health properties, and Ceylon green tea is no exception.

Ceylon green tea leaves are hand-picked by thousands of Sri Lankan workers every day. Most other countries pick their types of green tea by machine, but doing so includes some coarse leaves instead of just the flavorful bud and two youngest leaves. The hand-picked Ceylon leaves are then inspected for quality. After this step, the tea leaves undergo a preparation process in a factory including cutting, fermenting, locking in flavor, and increasing the keeping quality.
